Adobe Illustrator – Adobe Photoshop

Find reviews of and resources to learn today’s Digital Marketing Tools.

Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop

A long long time ago, there was Adobe Photoshop version 0.87, codename Seurat . Now in 2018, we have Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator CC2018. Five years ago, I invested in a student version of Adobe CS5 for a few hundred dollars. It cost more than my used Macbook Pro. Now I can pay for the most up-to-date version of Illustrator and Photoshop for $20 a month with Adobe Creative Cloud.

I have all the Adobe gadgets wherever I go. I can use drop shadows, the blend tool whenever I please. Features like pathfinder and shapebuilder make it so easy to build professional and powerful logos and icons. Symbols, Graphic Styles, Libraries, and Graph builders save much of your time allowing you to quickly create effective infographics. Adobe Kuler bring your colorful dreams to life. Soon you’ll be creating your own art gallery filled with masterpieces, all from the convenience of your computer. Ahh,the power of creative technology.

Below are what I find are the best resources for learning Illustrator (and Photoshop).

1. Buy CC2017 of each application. There are no developer orgs or interactive e-learning modules for these apps. However, you can get the standalone version for $20 a month.

2. Lynda.com: Lynda as fantastic courses taught by experts for each application. You have a few choices for tiered learning for each application, so you can choose the teaching style you like. Lynda has a basic subscription for $20 a month, but I would recommend adding on the exercise files for $10 extra a month. This was you can follow along with the teacher.

3. Adobe User Guides: Adobe has thousands of pages of user guides. Simply search for a keyword like illustrator Symbols or photoshop gradients and find the user guide with both descriptive and instructional sections. Adobe also has a few videos on photoshop and illustrator features.
